ONE WEEK!

We're one week away.  I am so excited for WAVES and thanks for sharing your excitement, too!  I feel I could do more.  I always feel this way!
Maybe more this time around. I am hopeful.  If you haven't yet, I'd love to have you pre-save WAVES!

Pre-Save WAVES

🚫 Retire it or Keep it? Let’s Settle This.

After 15 years and thousands of funerals, I’ve heard “I’m sorry for your loss” more times than I can count. But here’s the controversy…

Some grief experts say it’s just empty words—something people say when they don’t know what else to say. And honestly, I’ve heard families say the same thing behind closed doors.

But here’s where it gets interesting… It’s not the phrase itself that’s the problem—it’s how people say it.

The real issue?

❌ Rushing through it

❌ No eye contact

❌ Immediately changing the subject

❌ Using it as a conversation escape

The phrase isn’t the problem. The disconnection is.

When you say it, mean it. Look them in the eye. Be present. That’s what matters.

So now I need your take…

🚫 Retire it forever?

✅ Keep it, but say it with intention?
